Oct 27 - Nov 10th is going to be some exciting times in the SEC West.

Oct 27 .... Undefeated MState will square up against an undefeated Bama ...

Nov 3rd ... Then Bama comes to visit LSU in Death Valley.

Nov 10th .. MState comes to Death Valley.

The compilation of those 3 weekends will most likely determine the SEC W champion. What makes it even more exciting is that all three teams have the potential to beat each other. MState will be playing with Confidence against Bama. LSU can take both of those games and find itself back in the SEC CG, and a possible invite to the BCS NCG .. when we exact revenge on FL in the SECCG.

    Geaux Tigers!!!!!!

Yeah "controls its own destiny" would be much better than "owns it's own destiny". Even if LSU wins out, its destiny is still uncertain if one is alluding to a most favorable destiny.

Yes, this last point cannot be ignored! Sometimes, after such a win as last night, a team comes in the next week to play "emotionally drained." That cannot be the case against aTm, which is using its schedule to toughen itself up to SEC standards. It's their house, and we can take 'em, but we cannot play flat on either side of the ball!

Having said that, I like the great possibilities outlined by the OP.

    Geaux Tigers!

Bama will take out Miss. St. I like the Bulldogs, but still, Bama will not have much trouble with them. And unless we get much improved QB play from Mett, Bama will probably take care of business here. No need to shoot the messenger. Obviously, I want LSU to win out.

Yeah .. I"m not much of a poet or a master of cliche's ... kinda botched that one .. but .. I think you can grasp the intent. :D

LSU can win out and they will find themselves in the SECCG. Depending on the rest of the Nation, like Oregon, K State and N.D. ... there is a good possibility that we can make it back to the dance. I don't think FL makes it past USC. .. and if we beat Bama .. we will probably see USC again.

I don't want to look past ATM .. but frankly, I don't see them running up any huge score on LSU. .. and I don't see them stopping LSU's bread and butter ..which is the run. .. especially if the Oline plays like they did last night. The pass game is comming along slowly .. but it is comming along. Given that La Tech passed for 450 yards on them, it could turn out to be a confidence builder for Mett and the gang.
