Only 2 points separate LSU and Bama. If you look at the Sagarin OK is 4th with Bama at 1 and LSU at 2. I'll just be glad when the 'real' poll that counts comes out......
I'm not the poll guru, but it looks like LSU got voted a bit lower by a bunch of voters in that coaches poll. I don't really care. I'm very confident with what we have done, where we have done it, and what we will continue to do.
Coaches have more personal agendas than sportswriters. They can vote teams up or down depending on how it might affect their own strength of schedule. Other pump their own conference, etc.
All good, I guess, but if the disparity gets too wide, someone is going to get hugely EXPOSED.
I think some people are still confused. The above link was in error. Here's the corrected Coaches Poll: USA Today Poll RK TEAM RECORD PTS 1 Oklahoma (27) 4-0 1421 2 LSU (21) 5-0 1410 3 Alabama (10) 5-0 1408 4 Stanford 4-0 1237 5 Wisconsin (1) 5-0 1236 6 Boise State 4-0 1186 7 Oklahoma State 4-0 1162 8 Clemson 5-0 1028 9 Oregon 3-1 1017 10 Texas 4-0 879 11 Michigan 5-0 808 12 Arkansas 4-1 788 13 Georgia Tech 5-0 728 14 South Carolina 4-1 559 15 Nebraska 4-1 557 16 Illinois 5-0 541 17 Virginia Tech 4-1 470 18 Florida 4-1 456 19 West Virginia 4-1 436 20 Michigan State 4-1 366 21 Kansas State 4-0 264 22 Florida State 2-2 229 23 Auburn 4-1 217 24 Arizona State 4-1 177 25 Texas A&M 2-2 160
Not when I posted it. Weird. And when I looked at ESPN at the same time they had LSU at 3 and now showing us at #2. 2011 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 6 - ESPN
Football Remains No. 1 in AP Top 25; No. 2 Coaches - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics
Polls .. smolls ... a one loss or undefeated SEC team will be in the NC game. .. period. We don't need no polls, all we need to do is win out. :crystal:
