Finished my first attempt with Audacity. Syncing the singing with the music and getting their volumes just right isn't perfect, but I think it's fairly good for a first attempt.
I started playing with custom sounds a little bit last night before finally going to bed. Was disappointed with how the Xbox version handles sounds in that you have to create a playlist with the song (or songs) you want in there and set that to the event. Why can't I just pick the sound file? So far I have 1st down and Pregame at the 4th quarter set up.
PS3 and 360 versions have their quirks it seems. I have the PS3 version and it handles the mp3 files more easily. But I've played my friend's 360 version, and the gameplay feels much faster than the PS3 version. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that the game is designed for the 360 and is then ported to the PS3 and other systems.
I'll gladly donate some server space to create a more permanent solution for hosting these files. Shoot me the files and I'll get it done. Also, i dont mind taking a recorder to games to fill in the holes.
Pod, you're a lifesaver. I was initially going to set up a very simple webpage on PAWS or Cox, but this will be much better. For obvious reasons I'm not comfortable using some P2P client. I have a bunch of mp3s on the computer already, so just let me know where to send them.
I saw today that 2nd and 3rd down aren't options in the custom sounds. So no need for those. LSUSports.net has a bunch of sounds if you look in the Multimedia menu under "Songs of LSU".
