I'm not the only one who thinks the NBA is just a waste of time. Attendance yesterday in OKC - 16,384. Spurs vs Thunder - 18,203. Amazing number IMO.
LSU takes 1-0 lead in bottom 6... sac fly to SS, runner just beats the throw and tag at home plate... Tiger fans in the stands going crazy Mack still on the mound to finish it off for LSU... only 3 more outs left...
LSU wins.... the Mack Attack only gave up 2 hits in her 15th career shut-out tonight at 6pm (ESPN or ESPN2), LSU plays Arizona State in an elimination game (in the WCWS, Arizona beat Oregon 3-1, then lost 1-2 to Alabama)
that run for LSU was a pretty cool highlight... LSU had bases loaded, 1 out, with a black girl as the base runner at 3rd... the LSU hitter pops it up to the short stop, who had to go back several steps to catch it. as soon as she caught it, the black girl took off for home. the SS with the ball paused for a moment before turning around and realizing the runner was going home, so she throws it to the catcher, a little bit to the wrong side of the plate. the catcher catches it and immediately gets her glove over to make the tag... but the black girl from LSU did this Superman dive with her left hand extended, tagging home plate right before the tag was applied... it was awesome
Does it matter that she was black or white? I don't get it. Great game. Some good defense on the Tigers part.
