As a high school player, she broke the South Carolina state career record for strikeouts with 1720 ... Broke the state record for strikeouts in a season with 520 as a junior before coming just two strikeouts shy of her record with 518 as a senior ... Posted six perfect games and 10 no-hitters as a senior as part of a 30-4 record with a 0.35 earned run average ... Threw a perfect game in the Class AA lower state playoff championship win over Bishop England High School. Rachael Mitchell went yard for the third time this season with a two out shot out of straight center. This weekend our girls open up SEC play as they host Georgia in a three game series, looking to improve on their 21-4 record. The doubleheader Saturday will see a 1:00 p.m start for the first game and the conclude with the final game at 1:00 pm. on Sunday.
