The loss to A&M wasn’t on E. LSU even with shitty offenses has never really had an issue scoring on A&M. Except that one year we played A&M at their place during the day when Manziel was there, 2012 I think. But here is the thing. This offense is built to play well against just about everyone except our arch nemesis. And maybe that’s just a reality we will need to accept, we are essentially playing for 2nd place in the SEC West. But if the goal is to play for first place in the SEC West, you have to make changes on offense or just recruit dominant offensive lines as easy as that sounds.
Picture a two-person relay race. One guy is very fast, the other is terribly slow....and very old. The combination of the two generates a pretty decent result, let's call it third place. Wouldn't you want to pair the fast guy with another fast guy, to see if you could maybe win the race? Or, would you look at the third place finish and conclude that the pairing is pretty good, with no need to make a change?
