You must have a comprehension problem because I never said he sucks. I agreed, that as of now, he is a middle of the road coach who has done a great job this year. As far as a fan, I’ve been bleeding purple and gold for over 50 years, and just because I think a coach can’t cut it doesn’t make me a middle of the road fan. I have no confidence that he will be anything more than the last guy we had. Superior talent will make him look better than he really is, just like the last guy.
Is second only to Bama in the SEC middle of the road? You want middle of the road try Aub, S. Carolina, Moo U, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Tennessee. We are better than all of them. We beat the best team in the East. It appears the only team better than us in the entire SEC is an unbeatable team. None of this is middle of the road.
The issue is you are judging him with mostly Miles recruits and judging him after 2 years as our HC. To top that off the man is 9-2 and #7 in the nation. What are your standards for a coach in the SEC of all places? We are 9-2 which has surprised everyone yet he is middle of the road to you? So what should his record be? 11-0? You expected him to beat Bama? You expected us to beat Georgia? You expected us to beat Aub? You expected him to beat Miami? No one picked us to beat those 4 teams yet we beat 3 out of 4 of em. Most didn't pick us to beat Miss St for that matter. It appears your standards are unreasonable and misguided. We are in the freaking SEC and the freaking SEC west. There are good to great coaches all over this conference. Everyone has good to great football players. We are the youngest offense in the conference yet you and others here think we should be putting 50 points on everyone. We have a QB who has never started a game and only been with this team for 98 days. I havent had a boss in 30 years. If I had a boss I wouldn't want you to be my boss and be judging me I would always be a failure in your mind. But tell me is it 14-0 every year or the coach is middle of the road to you?
you are a broken record and continue to spout off like a demented parrot... this team has done a remarkable job in comparison to preseason expectations....no one here questions those things and you know that. the staff has done a great job for the most part...in some areas there’s room for improvement....and room for discussion in my earlier response I was referring to those who equate being a “good fan”with those who agree with them you know anyone like that?
Simply stating the obvious. O is a winner and not a middle of the road coach, there is no other way to look at it. OK you are a good fan in that you follow your tigers and want them to win. However your expectations are extreme. This football team is not an 11-0 team in talent, depth and certaintly not in experience yet. This team is at least 2 good to great recruiting classes away form being a challenge to win the SEC. I have high hopes for next year and I am extremely pleased with what these coaches and players have accomplished this year. Wish you would see what I see. Happy Thanksgiving
Again more problems with comprehension. I’m not judging him on this season, I know him personally. He still seems to struggle with some of the demons he has always had. He has tackled many of them and I’m proud of what he has accomplished “as our coach” but we were talking about him beating Nick. He hasn’t shown in the last 3 years that he can put an offense on the field that can score more than 10 points, and that just won’t get it done. In the meantime, he has given up 63 in those same 3 years. Now if you can’t see the glaring deficiencies with those game plans then I’m sorry. O has come a long way as a person and coach, but he is not in Saban’s league and as long as that little shit is still coaching at our rival we need better. I like that we have been more competitive and I hope we get the bugs worked out. And I don’t care if we win every game by just one point they still are wins. But if we want to play for another SEC title and compete in the playoffs we will have to get better. And btw you would have loved me as a boss. I retired at 48 yrs old with the admiration of all 55 of my employees. I was a good leader and gave my people what they needed to succeed. I understand that their success benefits the whole company.
Watching Washington and Dallas Trey Quinn is tearing it up. Thanks Miles for not using our WR's he made the right decision to go to SMU. Hopefully we will now actually use our WR's for something else other than blocking.
