They are ranking teams based on how they think they are going to finish, not how good they are I bet. LSU still has a gauntlet OU has cupcakes.
Regardless, it's insulting that we just beat #4 on Saturday night, and we are sitting at #19. The ranking should be who are the 25 best in what order? There are NOT 19 teams who would beat us. Hell, #4 didn't just a few days ago.
Completely agree but they are doing that because they care more about their own credibility than who the best teams are. Tell me I'm wrong.
It's their way of saying that nobody with 2 losses is getting much thought from the playoff committee. All that matters are the undefeated and the few 1-loss teams that might be able to move into the top 4. We could beat Bama, win out and still not sniff the top 10.
This is true. It wouldn't be hard to sift through the top 15 or so and find a team here or a team there that could beat a team in the top 4 with the right matchup. I think after a year or two of this 4 team fiasco there will be increased pressure to bring it to 8. I think 8 is the right number.
And OU was ranked way above LSU after that KSU game despite having an objectively worse resume. But SEC bias is totally real.
Where is WVA. Them and LSU are the two most capable 2 loss teams Ive seen outside of alabama I suppose. not that it really matters.
i swear i thought they lost two. i was just hoping i suppose. or a premonition. oh wait, it was the r-kansas game I counted as a loss in my mind for 59 minutes.
