There is a new SI College Football History book out. For each decade they named 5 dynasties of the decade, in no particular order. We were named a dynasty for the 50's and the 00's. The other 00 teams were USC, Ohio St, FL, and Okla.

FL was a dynasty of the 90s.

Ron Zook. 00s = no dynasty

I agree. I was surprised that they did not have them as a 90's dynasty, but had them as an 00. Maybe it was political. Perhaps they felt that they had more choices for the 90's and thus named them one in the next decade. They are interested in selling the book, of course.

Typically a dynasty is occurs when a team wins multiple championships... If you are going by conference championships, the list is ok... if you are going by national championships, only LSU has a dynasty in the 2000s

Well, for whatever reason, they decided to pick 5 teams per decade. Therefore, they could not use the multiple national champion definition. Of course it is subjective, I just thought it was nice that we got some more good press.
