I hear ya but I think it's a fine, fine line between "having their backs" and being blatantly "playing favorites".

Miles has stated "best player will play reguardless (whether he's a freshman or senior)". Lee has given our passing game a MUCH needed lift--something JJ has struggled mightily in doing.

If Miles wants to show his team he'll allow 2nd-chances and maintain support, that's fine. Like you said, players will recognize it and respond. HOWEVER, those same players aren't stupid. If rotating QB's in an out--specifically if JJ continues to pove ineffective in the passing game, those SAME players will become frustrated.

After all, it's not like JJ made a mistake and sat the bench for the better part of 2 years awaiting his "2nd chance". It was Lee that dealt with that while JJ started and underperformed for 2-straight seasons.

    WRONG

It most certainly is not "apples and oranges". Different guy calling the plays, yes, but Miles AND the players themselves have stated NUMEROUS times that the system is the same. Lee even was quoted just a few weeks ago about "being in this system for 5 years....I know it like the back of my hand."

JJ, Lee, Miles, etc. have ALL stated how those 2 players naturally have the advantage over Mett in the QB race due to JJ and Lee being in the system and knowing it backwards and forwards. If it were a different system, then NONE of them would have the benefit of being in it for more years than the other--they're knowledge/understanding would all be equal. And that's NOT the case.

It's the same simplified system with a different guy calling the plays- plays designed for success not confusion.

I love it. Gotta get 7, not 3, if you want to win big games.

We aren't seeing any razzle-dazzle, 4 man-shifts, 3 going in motion one after the other with the tackle lined up in the backfied sh*t that had everyone confused over....even the 2 extra men on the field didn't know what they were doing! :hihi:

    I'll give you that!

You're # 8 nationally, as there are a few teams perfect in the red zone.

Stanford at 20/20 is impressive, as is Wisconsin at 28/29.

Not when you consider the competition.

    Stanford:
    San Jose St (2-3)
    Duke (3-2)
    @ Arizona (1-4)
    @ UCLA (2-3)

    Wisconsin:
UNLV (1-4 with a 59-7 loss to Washington St. and a 41-16 loss to Southern Utah)
    South Dakota (please)
    Northern Illinois (2-3 w/ 1 win over D1)
Oregon St. (0-4 w/ loss to Portland St.)
    Nebraska

    Color me impressed.

LOL..... looks like someone was already "colored"... long before this thread. You're right, only LSU stats count in the red zone.

    Alas.....
