Does the class that Florida is signing give anyone the feeling that LSU will be way behind in talent. I know that we are behind on Rivals but ahead on Scout. We still have Deandre Brown and a chance at a few other big name recruits.Florida has a shot a Julio Jones , Brandon Harris and Willie Green. We may also have a surprise or two. Anyone else worried? Please explain.

No. I happen to believe we do a better job developing kids into outstanding men and football players than anyone in the country.

Moffit builds their body, Miles builds their character, and the best staff in the country develops their skills. As long as we bring in comparable talent. We will be competing in the SEC.

Well take the average of what Scout and Rivals is saying and we're in a dead heat.

    Not scared.

Nah, I'm not worried at all. From what I can see, LSU is doing just fine.

So true. At the LSU NC celebration, when Miles was thanking the assistant coaches, Moffit got the loudest applause. He is well recognized by Tiger fans, as well he should be.

This is a good question. I've thought of this often this past season. Why? Because I was disappointed in Florida this past season with a weak defense and no running game expect for Tebow. I thought Florida was loaded with recruits since Meyer has been at Florida. My measuring stick is how we do next year coming off our NC similar to how Florida did after it's NC. I think Meyer will have a melt down if we beat them at the swamp next year. And yes if we do, it will prove we develop our players much better than Florida which will be huge for LSU recruiting. My Gosh, if we repeat as champs it would be huge for recruiting next year.

UF's recent recruiting reminds me of USC's - a lot of "highlight" players, without much meat in the middle. On the other hand, LSU lands only a couple of highlight guys, but build our team around the 3 & not real high 4 star guys.

I haven't paid real close attention, but at a glance it doesn't appear like Meyer is doing a great job of developing his recruits. If you look at the 2 most notable players that he recruited - Tebow & Harvin, they are relying on the athleticism that they came into the program with.

Would you goes as far as to say there has been a drop off in Florida's program? Or is it too early to say?

How could you say that??? They won the NC last season last time I checked, they also had the #2 recruiting class in 2006, #1 in 2007, and right now they're #1...There's no drop off, of course it's hard when you lose 9 defensive starters...Then add to the fact, that 3 of their 4 losses came in the last minute and compare it to our 4 wins late in the game against two losses...The big difference ends up being the experience and leadership of LSU"s seniors, something that Florida lacked this year.
