Forget Notre Dame AND Auburn which are both jokes but look MUCH HIGHER in the rankings. Texas? Really????? Nebraska? Really???? I have another requirement for being a great current historical program. You can show NOTHING in the last couple of years like Texas has done (didnt' even make a bowl game out of the 2010 season) and you get ranked in the top 15.
No, not really...current refers to the team now and in the past few years before that (have to include at least 5 since most "current" teams have players that joined 5 years ago due to redshirting of course). Historical is the standard by which to judge by and includes maybe not the entire history of college football but at least the "modern era". (excludes the earflaps years for example)
