That's a drag; sorry to hear that. I've never ran across that issue. Perhaps the same won't apply to the ULM broadcast. Home-spun announcing but it's the game, ya know?

I'm on T-Mobile and haven't had any signal or streaming issues around BDS. Those with Verizon haven't either. There was an issue with AT&T but they did add a lot of relay equipment in the last few years so hopefully you'll be able to catch it through one of the ESPN apps if you aren't on another provider.

I haven't tried my U-Verse app out of state yet...if your cable provider offers live programs through an app that may be an option as well.

My cell carrier is cspire no clue on how signal will be in the stadium. If I can find it on a radio station I will have my little portable radio and ear buds that I use to listen to the games when I'm off hunting.

As I recall reading CSpire jumps to Sprint then Verizon towers when you're out of their area. You may run into one of the carriers deciding throttle your data.

@Bengal B It dawned on me this morning the ESPN radio app would be a logical starting point.

Tell her the only way you're going is if she wears full LSU gear to the game with you :)

The point is that if LSU won't allow audio streaming even on its flagship station do they allow ESPN to stream the radio broadcast? I am back in Baton Rouge so I won't have a problem. When I was out of town almost every LSU game was on TV. Not so with the Saints unless it was a national game but the NFL must be OK with WWL steaming the broadcast so it can be picked up by apps like Tune-In or I Heart Radio. That season I was on the East Coast from Virginia to Boston. Redskins in Virginia,
Ravens in Baltimore, Giants and Jets in Jersey and Patriots in all of New England. None of the hotels we stayed in had the NFL network so the only time the Saints were on was for a Sunday night or a Monday night game. I listened to WWL on the Tune-In app

It's an ESPN telecast so I'd expect it to be an ESPN radio broadcast as well—seems logical to me, but I don't know.

I've not ran into the issues I've seen voiced here. Of course, I live out of state. In every case, even with in-state teams, I've always managed to find a streaming video source.

I have used http://www.justin.tv on the few times when an LSU game was only on TigerVision where you had to pay for it. Some guy in Lafayette has a channel he calls Cajun TV. I think he just hooks his TV up to a computer somehow and captures the broadcast. Now all the games will be on TV thanks to the SEC Network but there is a Justin.tv app so if you were at a game in Alabama you could still watch LSU on your smartphone. The app cost $1 and its the only app I have ever paid for. Even for LSU vs Idaho a dollar doesn't seem too bad

It's funny thinking about the context of our conversation. With so much streaming and the ability to watch just about anything, anywhere, we're talking about not being able to get a medium that's been around almost a century now (Nov. of 1920 I think?)

There's not been a lot of publicity on what the SECN is going to offer on other platforms and we might—hopefully—find these "worries" much ado over nothing in a month.

Somewhat related: I noticed the SECSports.com website moved to the Go.com network about a month ago. They've recently added a tab on the site that's "Watch" which looks like it'll link to the network; at least for highlights and hopefully rebroadcast. SEC Now (their daily show) and Finebaum's show already have links on the site.
