BR used to give a shit back in the 80's and you still see signs here and there that it could be like that again. Will only happen with the right coach in place and you'll not get the "Right Coach" unless the bank vault is opened up. John Brady wasn't the right coach. (I'd take him over the last two jokers though) Trent Johnson wasn't the right coach. Johnny Jones aint the right coach. Alleva has to stop playing politics, I.D. the right man, open up the bank account and pay him what he wants. Should've hired Tony Bennett of Washington State (Now at Virginia) when Johnson was hired. I agree with everything you said. Unfortunately, competent basketball coaches will not be paid top dollar at football schools; at least not at LSU.
Bennett is pretty old and getting very forgetful. He left his heart in San Francisco. We don't need to back up the Brinks truck for women's hoops. Most of us really don't care If they win that's nice but even when they were good I only watched them on TV once and that was a final 4 game and nothing else's was on. Just find somebody wllling to coach them for a few $ hundred a game and add the money saved to finding a top men's coach.
