And the terrible run just fed off of itself over and over, didn't it? Then, he lost the team, especially with guys like Byrd, who didn't even try to hide their disgust--then proceeded to quit on Lee (and the whole team.) The rest of the offense then became more passive/aggressive in their disgust with Lee. They simply stopped trying to pursue guys who intercepted him.

Sure, the pick six @ AU and the first one against UGA were classic set-ups for a TD return. But many, MANY of the others? No way. How about the one against Bama where the defender had to weave his way from the 50 through a sea of sluggish white jerseys? Hmm. We don't let that happen, and we had Saban his first lost of the '08 season.

Yep.. I think it's safe to say the problems we had last season weren't squarely on him. Man, I love this time of year... everyone's getting anxious. :tigerhead

Soon as we get up 42-0 he can come in and have his chance.

Well, I'm sure glad you made that known. I'm sure Coach Miles was biting his nails worrying about disappointing you. :rolleye33:

I was saying all this at the end of last season and it seemed like I was alone on a island fighting off headhunters (Lee haters).

Where was all this then? Maybe it was all still too fresh...IDK.

I bet Lee plays more than anyone thinks and has a really good year. I think him and TT hook up for some big plays in big games.

Yes Lee made me puke last year with the mistakes and yes i have faith in JJ this year, i just think Lee sees the field more than most think he will and runs the offense well.

Boy this is a great time of year.

Why does it have to be "Lee haters"? I don't wanna see him in a tight game...but I don't hate him. I hope he IS able to turn it around, and I agree last season isn't squarely on him. HOWEVER, you can't say his play didn't STRONGLY contribute to the problems last year.

I know he is talented. I know he has a gun. I know he is a gamer. I also know he threw a record number of pick 6s last season...and most of them were just TERRIBLE decisions. He has to show that he has learned better decision making before people will jump on his bandwagon.

    That's not hate...that's reality.

How is it gonna happen that Lee plays a lot AND you have faith in JJ? Do you think there's gonna be a platoon system? If there is, it would more likely be Shep and one of the two pro style QBs.

Because Lee is going to be #2 on the depth chart. Shep and Garrett are just going to have to wait their turns before seeing substantial play time under center.

    ...aaaaand you're done. :dis:

So Lee is the only one who is not allowed to make mistakes? You make it sound like he did it all on purpose. I like JJ being the starter because of his poise and the way he stepped up to take control as a qb. I like that in a young qb. I also like Lee's skill and his class. As long as he learns from the mistakes he made, great. If not, maybe QB isn't for him, but I don't wanna hang him out to dry and not let him have a second chance.

I don't know, I guess most of us here are real fans and we want all of the players of OUR team to succeed and shake off bad seasons/games. I'm just glad Coach Miles is the coach and not you :geaux:
