I'm not that into football fashion, but I showed my 13 yr old son and two of his Jr. High classmates the pics of the uniforms and they LOVED them. They all liked the gloves and two of them liked the helmet. When I showed them the shoes they all said "Awesome!" I kind of like the pants but am completely impartial to the butts.:hihi:.
I believe it was said the helmet color/design is from 1947-55, the only twist is adding the current sticker.
The boys were disappointed when I told them that the back of the shoes' heels didn't blink when the players ran..
No, I didn't have the heart to. I didn't want to see them cry :hihi:. (You know, I'd probably like them if they were in the proper colors.)
When are we going to learn? Don't mess with the uniform. I hate the new ones and hope the Arky game will be the last time we see them. The AD will take a hit on this decision.
I think the gold color helmet is a throw back color to the Y. A. Tittle era. LSU's gold has not always been the yellow gold it is today. That being said I like today's "Gold" better than throw back "Gold", but at least it is an LSU color.
It's the price we pay for being one of Nike's special schools. We get to try out new, innovative products, etc. for free, and then every once in a while, we have to do something like this. No big deal. Plus, I like the new uniforms and wouldn't mind if we wore them for every Arkansas game. To be honest, we haven't been world beaters against them in our classics as of late.
