if u remember right right after bowe got eye surgery his drops went way down it had nothing to do with his hands
I do recall that, and maybe shouldn't have included his name. But it was in response to "our boys could always catch". Just saying, we've had our share of drops across the board. Our guys are certainly great, no, elite athletes...but if they can learn to focus on the ball before displaying that athleticism, great! And I'm with The Dude hoping they can use that athleticism to get open and in space.
Well I don't mean that they don't drop the ball at critical times. They have all done that at times. But the biggest problem I saw last year was sloppy route running and just not giving JJ a target, or at least a timely one. Combined with the poor blocking, and JJ moving in matrix time, seemed like potential disaster each game. No excuse for these guys to run sloppy. No amount of game pressure should effect that. Started to see some of it in '08 but more last yr with JJ. I blame our WR coach fully for that. Glad he is gone.
Dickson switched back to the Vet practice this morning. Armand and Boone are still at the vet practice. Sunday is the 1st day we will not be breaking up the practices into 2 sessions. BTW, just realized that Boone is a 1st cousin of Devin Hester. Here is an article about Chase Clement who will be 2nd on the TE depth chart. TigerRag - Q & A: Chase Clement
Gore is being used like most of us predicted he would. RB and slot WR and word is he looks a lot quicker than he he did in HS. Still ironing out his route running but nice to see the early work at both spots. Davenport is finally healthy and slimmed down. Could be in the rotation eventually this season. Josh D is back at practice but still ill from respiratory infection. Longeran seems to have a big lead over Hebert right now. Hebert was getting blown up by the DTs today in one-on-one drills and PJ was more than holding his own against Nevis and Downs. Most expected PJ to continue solidifying his spot and he is doing just that. Confirmation came that Mathieu is with the 2nd unit today behind PP and in place of St. Julien.
we expected it, but it's great to hear that it's happening. i was pulling for the guy big time, good kid. :thumb:
I haven't been this optimistic going into a season since 07 when I picked the Tigers 11-1 and title contenders. I like what I hear about the team (we're young, next year could be better). I don't see or hear as much as most on here, but I just have a good feeling and I'm going with it. Could be the new coaches. I like most of the young players.
