No comparison, just like I said, you never know who will go where during a draft. I just don't see Loston being drafted, like some were saying in the 6 or 7th round. I don't see him, unless something changes, being around in the 6th or 7th. He will grade out well with size, weight, height and speed. Also being a 25 year old rookie in the NFL. When he sits down and start talking with teams, will do well. Teams with the taller WR's are making other teams look for more larger Safeties, he fits the bill. We'll see, wish him and all the Tigers only the best. I also see Barrow with a shot as getting on with an NFL team running a 3-4 defense. I see him getting a better fit there. Only the best for the Tigers. Both Barrow and Loston can come in from day one and play Special Teams, right from the start.
I wonder why Loston didn't leave after 2012. He was at his absolute height at that point and like you said he is an older kid already having missed out on his 1st season with LSU and now playing all the way through his senior year (5 years removed from high school). He's going to be 24 when the season starts, btw. Most safeties don't last past 32 years old.
He was one, also Copeland was another, said by some one of the top FB's that could have come out. Remember Quinn Johnson was drafted in the 5th round in 2009.
The voting on Jamal Adams is now a full steamroll in LSU's favor. The percentage for Hootie Jones has only gone up from 26 % to 29% since his decommitment. I look for that to change shortly as we hear more and more LSU talk.
Slightly concerned with only taking 2 offensive lineman this cycle. We did get 4 last year, but still 6 within a 2 year cycle is on the light side. I think we're going to get a surprise recruit at the offensive tackle position.
McDowell committed to Ole Miss today. Any idea if this is because of current commits and how young they were this season or did another commit leap frog him. It just an over all numbers game?
