LSU players defend ‘Mad Hatter’ Miles

They don't even know who's "The starter" in many cases. Right now they have this game they play. Instead of "Who's on first" they play, "Who's @ QB"?

 

The only thing it proves is that he's smart enough to not bad-mouth a coach who holds all the keys to a multi-million $ NFL future to the media. Kids like Shepard are very media-savvy, so statements like that don't really tell us anything about whether he is or isn't on the same page about Les. He might be, all I'm saying is not to read too much into it.

 

Actually, I bet they DO know. It's actually funny to see fans get all mad because THEY don't know. "Damnit! I pay for tickets and LSU shirts, I oughtta be in the loop here!!":lol:

 

I guess you expect the players to come out and say he sucks? that would help. :rolleye33:


Les needs their support to keep the whole season from unraveling, they know this. He's the best they have for now even if he does suck. Someone said in another post, tiirk I think, Les is like your retarded Uncle... you're stuck with him. for now anyway.

BUT HE is by NO MEANS ANY KIND OF A GOOD COACH PERIOD AND RAY CHARLES CAN SEE IT AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE FOOTBALL WORLD.
they wont hire him at Michigan, they never would have. When he came out that day he wasnt pissed because the story broke, he was PISSED because SOMEONE at Michigan is SMARTER than the board that hired him HERe. THEY didnt want him. AND THAt came out too. As much appeal as a Meechigan man under Bo S has appeal, they obviously did their homework and decided to opt out.

I cant see Miles coaching at another top tier school ever. Maybe Vandy or Rice but never anything bigger once he leaves. You can see how well he coaches on video.... the proof is ON tape.. videos dont lie.

Name a coach in the SEC or the Big ten or anywehre in the NCAA that has managed clock issues as bad as Miles not once but twice... name one and provide us a you tube link please..... go for it.

I have no doubt Les is a nice guy, especially in a private setting one on one or in a small group. He comes off as someone I would love to have a beer with and shoot the breeze.

However, he is the public face and voice of LSU football and in that respect he fails miserably. Its so painful to watch and listen to him that I just cringe every time he is interviewed. I'm so torn. He has a great record, he recruits VERY well and the players seem to love him but in public and on the field he comes off like a stupid buffoon.

A couple weeks ago I said I don't care if we win them all fugly but with the results each week its getting very hard to support the guys actions. I support Les Miles the man but, the man who stands on our sidelines directing our team leaves a lot to be desired.

 

I hope I get to meet you someday, I've never seen someone so ate-up with idealism in my life. Do you honestly expect any other type of comment from players? Nobody is casting aspersions about what type of guy or leader Miles is.

Can someone get me RS's number, I need to find out who I should vote for so I don't "go against the players." Maybe we should take a poll among the players prior to every new topic to find out what our opinion should be.
