I'll be at Cy-Ridge today, looking at a scrimmage. If you remember this name, thats the school Russell Shepard came from.
I saw him a number of times in high school, he would have done well to change positions and play the one his brother Nick did, DB.
As a DB, he still would have excelled at LSU on special teams which is how he now makes his living in the NFL. Was there ever any thought at LSU to trying him at DB or was RS the one who insisted on switching to receiver after the QB experiment ended?
Collins clears paternity test, not father of slain Mills' child Sameer Bhuchar - 61 minutes ago (Photo: USA TODAY Sports) La'El Collins is not the father of slain associate Brittney Mills' child. According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Collins' paternity test was negative as the investigation into the murder of Mills continues. "I've been notified by representatives of OT La'el Collins that his paternity test results were negative," Anderson tweeted. "Specifically, Collins is not the father of Brittney Mills' child and Collins passed a polygraph test administered by an independent investigator in connection with Mills' case. Collis spoke with Baton Rouge police this week regarding the murder of Mills, and he was not considered a suspect at that point. It's unclear whether the results of the paternity test clear Collins from the investigation altogether, but it's an important first step to helping the one-time, top-ten NFL draft prospect pursue his professional career. After it was reported police wanted to talk to him as they investigated the death of Mills, Collins fell off draft boards and wasn't picked. It has been reported that nearly every NFL team has inquired about Collins, but most hoped the smoke from this controversy would clear before signing him as an undrafted free agent. Since, he has met with coaches and players from the Bills and Dolphins, while a number of other teams, including the Chargers and Patriots remain interested.
