She was just killed this past Friday night and you think the BRPD is sandbagging LCs NFL draft status? I'm sure murder investigations are quick moving processes. Let's see, murdered Friday night, but she is pregnant, and baby is not dead. Somebody then needs to deliver baby at the murder scene, and transport baby to hospital. Meanwhile, the BRPD finds out that LC is connected to her in the past sometime on Saturday? Well, he's about to be drafted, so let's wait a few days, then talk w/him or his attorney to F his draft status. That's the primary concern of the PD, right? The draft perspective you guys have vs a murder investigation perspective the PD (any PD) has is quite skewed. Btw, there are multiple reports that he and his agent were contacted by the PD sometime over the weekend once there was an established connection between LC and the murder victim - it's not like there was a sign around her neck saying, I dated LC last year. The timing of her murder is the problem, not the PDs response, not to mention the second victim making it a double murder investigation now. But, LCs draft status was affected, so lets get back to that more important issue.

I don't know when she was killed, I think it was Wed or Thursday, prior to Friday.
Ever see the 1st 48? It should be, this one is not
Either the BRPD is stupid (likely, there is precedent) or @LaSalleAve is a prophet, he posted it well before Sat
Yeah thats pretty much it. You tell me why this POS detective couldn't arrange a meeting with the kid to establish his alibi or get whatever other info he needed prior to Monday? Like you said, its a fucking murder investigation, of a pregnant woman and an unborn child, so what could possibly be more pressing on this assholes schedule? Maybe needs to pick up his hood and attend the regional "meeting"
    Think you have that backerds

Collin LEFT THE DRAFT TO GO TALK TO BRPD!!!! BRPD says, thanks, we will get with you Monday, its bullshit of the highest grade my friend.
    Indeed

No, this sucks and is extremely unprofessional given the circumstances. They could not have handled it more wrong.
Again, I understand the premise of your opinion, you are not seeing mine. Yes the investigation should be the priority, why isn't it?

Not to mention the insane amount of taxes he would have to pay in Canada. I wonder if he would be allowed to work out with LSU, obviously he can't play but do graduates and former players get to use the facilities?

Check the reports, bro, Brittany Mills was killed the evening of Friday, April 24th, six days before the draft. Three days later, Monday, is when there is public knowledge that the police are seeking to talk w/LC about the situation, but he was contacted Sunday according to reports, and his agent, and that is within 36 hours of the murder. At that point, LC is in Chicago. Tuesday, four days after the murder, he announces publicly he will return to BR from Chicago to meet w/police. I'm not seeing where there is any dragging of feet, or egregious behavior by the police. If anything, it's sounds like they were trying to accommodate him. If they were really convinced he had direct involvement, they would have worked w/Chicago PD to have him arrested there. Dude's pregnant former girlfriend was killed. Her murder happened less than a week before the NFL draft commenced. Bad timing for him, but that's all it is, in my mind. Even once he is questioned, it takes time to corroborate his story and follow up on other leads, etc. It's not like the minute they are finished questioning him on Tuesday, Wednesday, whatever day, that they can then say, "LCs clear, so go ahead NFL team, draft him, he's cleared of any criminal behavior". This isn't TV, amigo, where it's all wrapped up in an hour. So many variables to consider and loose ends to tie up before really clearing someone. Guess we'll just see this one differently.

Yeah, we will because while the timing is terrible, the BRPD could have done more to work with that situation instead of leaving EVERYONE hanging. You yourself just said, if they thought he was involved they would have made a bigger push to have him arrested there so WHY drag this out? Bring him in on Wed or Thursday, ask him your questions which I'm sure is going to amount to, When is the last time you saw her, do you know who she might have been seeing? Do you know anyone that would want to hurt her? and then they will let him on his way.

Yes I get it, it takes time but I'm pretty sure that with Les, his lawyer, his character, and a host of others to vouch they could have at least calmed the minds of enough people so that he could have continued with his life. The thing that pisses me off the most is "Hurry up and get back here; we will talk to you on Monday" Typical Richard move by the police. Yet they wonder why everyone hates them.

And what pisses me off even more than that is these idiots on TV talking completely out of their asses.

I don't know. Somebody will pick him in the 6th or 7th round today. By then what would they have to lose?
