You are hiding behind the numbers you moron. Yes he had a run game, yes he had whatever that stupid stat is you like to spout off about Zach, OBJ and the gang. Guess what all that got us? 35th in offense. If you have that kind of talent, those kind of numbers and the best you can do is 35th then you are doing it wrong. Sort of like the way you do life.
Miles is unemployed...Sean Peyton will not be for long, if fired. Nobody wants Les, not even those schools we beat up on before the SEC starts. That tells me everybody sees how inept he is with today's offense. Love the guy, but better than Peyton is a joke!
I'm sure if Orgeron goes undefeated with national championships for the next 5 years ole taint will find fault and swear Les could have done better.
No doubt. But you dont stay at the top by being complacent. I tend to think our beta will be higher, and we will see more fluctuations under Coach O. But at least it can fluctuate higher.
Part of that is because of the adding a 12th game to all regular season schedules, combined with a conference title game and a bowl game you could have as many as 3 additional games than most LSU coaches had to reach 10 wins in the previous century. That's like comparing passing yards today to the passing numbers in the 50's. It's absolute stupidity. Which makes sense given it is your position. It's like your constant bedfellow. The blanket to your Linus.
We often hear how Les Miles hired Ed Orgeron to be his defensive line coach. If Miles was so fantastic, why is LSU alum Karl Dunbar working for Saban and getting him all the monster DL we used to get at LSU? He lured Dunbar from the NFL briefly to work for him in Baton Rouge when he got here, but he still left Les and returned. He's back in college though and coaching for the Tide. LSU's ability to hang with Alabama withered when the stud DL started to drop off. Gone were the Glenn Dorsey, Kyle Williams, Michael Brockers, Bennie Logan, Ricky Jean, KeKe Mingo of the world that littered every line. There was still premium talent, but it was thin and eventually wore down. Meanwhile, Alabama continued to dominate us with their vastly superior offensive lines (Miles specialty?!) and then their defensive lines controlled us and we could not hold up with ours. If Miles was so amazing, why was Dunbar not lured from the NFL back home and instead Les tabbed the guy you loathe in Ed O? That paved the way for Dunbar to go work his magic in Tuscaloosa.
