O was patching together Miles' leavings. I believe in Aranda and I think Canada is going to help the offense a lot. The benefit of O is navigating adversities better than a young coach would and not meddling like Miles.
Attempts to solidify your position by using averages is absolute surrender. It's called trends and what have you done for me lately. As I've already pointed out to you, Miles was on a downward trend his last several years and in particular conference matchups. Get back to me when college football annoints its first Best Average Coaching Award.
Well said but you know he'll just come back with something just as stupid if he replies at all. With his logic Miles could've won his first 100 games then lost his next 30 in a row and we'd still be hearing about his great 77-80% win percentage. Averages mean nothing in football, it's what have you done lately as you said.
That's why I say give him a couple and if we are not better then ship him out. It's done and all we can do as fans is support our team. I've never understood a poster who wants his team to fail so he could say " I told you so." I don't really care who our coach is, as long as he keeps our program clean and wins. Les did it for a while then regressed at a steady pace so it was time for a change. I would have wanted a better search but what can you expect from a "mail it in" AD like Alleva. Hopefully he won't be the guy making the next hire should we need one.
Not really because I think he and King are bad for LSU. Just think we can do better on both positions since they are key to keeping us at the top in academics and athletics. If it turns out I'm wrong I'll be the first to ask for the crow on my plate. If left there long enough I think these two guys take us back to the late 80's early 90's version of LSU. Btw, I think O will be successful I was just commenting on the negative comments by those who are rooting for failure.
hard to argue against that,.. but c'mon Tap, even from 2,000 miles away it was obvious that Les's offense was chronically dysfunctional, a one legged man, LSU could've been so much better.
Bama is as balanced as it gets in football these days and their stats are misleading because theyre running out the clock at halftime. LSU was as unbalanced as it gets. It would be one thing if we didnt care about passing the ball, but at times we did, and it ended similar to a dumpster fire. Fans wanted a change, similar to Kentucky wanting to fire Tubby Smith. I like that we now demand more. Will we get it? Who in the hell knows.
