LSU penalized for OBJ's "payouts"

Surprised at all the OBJ hate. I agree it was a stupid thing to do but dam, dude was a Tiger so he’s always a Tiger, no?

 

There are some significant recruiting penalties but possible to work around. There is like a 6 week dead period for us I believe, which could hurt pretty badly not talking to these guys for 1.5 months. Gotta imagine the product we’re putting on the field this year is vastly more important though.

 

Too selfish for me. He is a tiger, but when he actively hurts us, I’m no longer a fan.

 

Lost his mind is the only reasonable explanation. Maybe too much hair dye.

 

It was stupid and I think he has real problems. That said, always a Tiger and always greatful for his play at LSU.

 

Another reason to add to the many for losing interest in football. Very few men you see on a football field deserve the admiration and publicity they receive. OBJ is just another name on the list.

 

So it’s an empty penalty.

 

Not really as there’s are limits on contacting recruits. That can make a difference.

True, I meant that part of it. I think the NCAA is gunning for a combo deal with basketball. Waiting to see if Woodward is worth his salary. I prefer silence to the clown show Alleva oversaw, but if we get bad sanctions compared to AU (they didn’t even get penalized for $cam if I recall), hard to call that a win.
