ITs a known fact LSU is #2 in the SEC for talent brought in. Its not disputable. We are top 5 in the country over the last few years.

There is a disparity here and its right in everyone's face.

Point out the great talent that will go on to the NFL that is currently playing on the offensive and and defensive lines for LSU. I'll hang up and listen.

Hint: MAYYBE Davin Gouchaux. That's it.

but you do understand the concept of coaching your players up, correct?

Bama does a great job hiding their weaknesses and taking advantage of their strengths. LSU not so much.

But it's miles best OL ever..... You don't think our deficiencies have anything to do with coaching on the OL? My point is talent wise it is a wash IMO. Coaching is the big difference you see here and that is what the article is frankly missing the point on. Other teams coaches develop players we can't seem to do that right now. QB play is a prime example.

And I 100% disagree about the QB game plan. Our game plan has been the same since the first game run run run, oh its 3rd down I guess we need to throw. The fact is every one in the known universe knew we were running the big difference is the teams that embarrassed us stopped the one game plan we had, run the ball up the middle. For God sake all we had to do is put LF7 and Guice back there at the same time and make the D guess that alone would have opened up the game some.

Maybe on the defensive side. But will Alabama put their running back, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, and 5 offensive linemen in the NFL?

Running back yes, maybe 3 O linemen and 1 receiver and 1 tight end.

And even on Defense, LSU will put 7 of the 11 starters on D in the NFL too.

    Horseshit thread.

Godchaux will for sure, on the offensive line Teuhema, Clapp, Alexander, Hawkins, and Pocic will all play in the NFL.

Here's a better question. guys like Reggie Ragland and Deval, Dillon Lee, all seniors that will be drafted. Why is it that Alabama brings back their juniors for their senior season and LSU doesn't?

LSU's problem isn't lack of talent, it's keeping the talent at school and developing that talent.

Kevin Mawae said this morning, it's just as important to recruit the guys on your roster to stay at LSU as it is to recruit new talent and he is right.

One glaring place that did impact the game was a soph QB vs a 5th year QB. The difference there would be like a young groom comparing a 22 yr old newlywed's cooking to his mom's.

but he was only in his 2nd year in Bama's system and had relatively the same amount of prior history on the field leading up to that game, so that's not really a fair comparison

Bama has a much more innovative approach on offense under Kiffin and like I said they hide the weaknesses of their players rather well and don't put them in positions to fail very often.
