Our offensive line was dominated up front even when we went to the spread. Our lack of defensive depth was exposed leading to 200 plus rushing yards.

That was the difference in the game. Any other opinion is pushing a biased narrative.

LSUs current list of players in the NFL has nothing to do with what transpired 11/7.

So all those top 5 recruiting classes didn't happen?

6 in 2013, 2 in 2014, 5 in 2015, and likely 2 in 2016 and we are just to accept our players suck?

We got skull drug by Ole Miss & Ark who aren't even on the same planet with regards to recruiting.

The class rankings address average numbers of stars.. not whether or not the team did a good job of filling team needs. We have like 27 WR, 40 DBs and only 2 SEC level DTs... and Anthony Johnson and Ego Ferguson were not all that good last year either. Line recruiting has been trash for several years now.

I didn't address Ole Miss or Arkansas.

What are you blabbering about? We have signed 31 O and D'linemen since 2013....

These same ranking services ranks all the other teams too yet they get more production.

If I felt like wasting my time I'd pull up a list of all the defensive linemen that haven't panned out over the last three years. It wouldn't fit your narrative though.

And this is the LSU problem....how many 5 star wideouts will we sign at the expense of depth? seems like the staff doesnt do a great job of filling needs.

Yea, back to coaching. We get talent. We just can't make all the talent work out.

By this article's logic then we were out talented by the piggies and ole piss to right? I agree this article is crap, talent will only get you so far if the players aren't smart, motivated, and well coached then you are screwed. Kind of where we find our team sitting now.

This is exactly why I am worried about this bowl game. We are much more talented then TT but I guarantee miles will find a way to play down to our opponent and allow this game to be closer than it should be. Our players over all are extremely talented, however they are not (not all of them but most) the sharpest tools in the tool shed, they are certainly not as well coached as they could be. But the big thing that bothers me is what they hell do they play for in the Texas bowl? I can 100% see this team coming out unmotivated and getting beat.

The gumps are not that much more talented then this team and frankly if we had coaching that could pull its collective head out of it's a$$ then we would likely have run the table after the gump loss and been heading to the sugar bowl. Maybe even had a chance to sneak into the CFP. Instead out coaching staff (specifically miles) illustrated what the definition of insanity is by banging his head against the wall over and over again.

Valid criticism. Saying we're just as talented as Bama, especially on the lines of scrimmage... Isn't.

No. We came out with a game plan that the quarterback couldn't execute against Arkansas and fell apart at ole miss after the first long run was called back. Inexcusable on both fronts but don't sit here and tell me LSU should be able to compete against Bama with what we're trotting out there on the lines.
