A good friend of mine smoked pot just about every day in college and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Engineering, sooooooo... Could be. Not all pot smokers are your stereotypical stoners. ETA: Was Thomas tested for drugs or was he just given a field sobriety test?
I'll be honest, I smoked pot all through college and grad school, I still smoke every now and again. I am damn sure not the smartest guy in my office, but College & Grad school were not that difficult...... I could only imagine how much easier it is for the starting QB So......That means nothing to me either
Thanks. Was just wondering why it was relevant to bring up that Oregon has drug testing (which, of course they do) if Thomas wasn't tested. If he wasn't tested, you can't be 100% sure he did nothing wrong. So I don't understand the positive assertion that he did nothing wrong. Regardless, he showed poor judgement by putting himself in a bad situation and nobody is doing him any favors in the long run by giving him a complete pass and Kelly calling him "as good of" a leader he's been around.
Seriously???????? I'll admit I grew up in the 60s, and lets just say if they were really smoking I'd expect a speed of 11.8 mph, NOT 118 mph. Come on guys tell me just who you've EVER heard of driving 118 mph loaded on grass. I'm not defending anyone in this mess, I'm just say'n...........
Well does that mean that the driver wasn’t smoking, just the passengers??? but Harris admitted to smoking, so they had been smoking and were speeding, the whole thing is dumb and I'm over it, It will take me a long time to find Kelly's comments understandable. Do I personally think that players caught up in these types of situations should be punished for the plain and simple fact none other than the coach needs to set the example, ABSOLUTELY! Do I care that Thomas wasn’t punished, NOPE! If it were Jefferson or Peterson or Ware would I feel the exact same way, you bet your ass! These kids are examples to other kids and need to be held responsible regardless of their status and importance. Give an inch they take a yard
I think the obvious about all of this and what's come out lately regarding Oregon, USC, tOSU is all of these fanbases in other conferences who make it a point to bash the SEC about being "corrupt" and "putting football first" have no room to talk. It is now quite obvious "y'all" do the same things and possibly "worst".
First I haven't said anything about any other conference on this subject, before or after what's being discussed at Oregon, OSU, USC or Miami. Just for you thought, you might not want to be TOO proud. I believe two of the coaches involved at Miami are currently coaching at 'Bama. Just sayin'
Yes, Nick learned of how they operated at Miami and immediately hired them. We even gave them free Red Crimson Leisure suits with top hats and canes to wear while out recruiting. We're getting the stretch limo painted Crimson Red this week and the hy-draw-licks installed with the smoke coming out when it stops. We are a proud bunch at Bama. :thumb:
