I do not see this as arguing and thanks for compliment. I was back and forth on many different boards during his recutiment and it was because of information I was receiving from people within his inner circle. The girlfriend was a major player and Collin's mom was strongly against what she felt was pushing her son to follow her not the other way around. It was a constant battle amoung the family and the arguments between them even made its way to twitter and facebook and then removed. LSU coaches even discussed this angle with the family numerous times. The father right before signing day thought he had finally reached a point where he felt the right decision was made and not a decision his son was making because of his girlfriend and that changed the day before his announcement. As for Fournette, I have even more info on this situation than with Collins. There is nothing to worry about at this time and I don't think that will change before signing day but as you said anything can change in recruiting. LSU is way ahead of everyone and no one close to him feels he is leading any other way. He will take his visits and will miss some because like Noil and Beckwith he is more of a home body. Oh and the Cam's sister thing was strictly a rumor. Can't remember where she transferred to for basketball but I believe it was a small school.
St. Aug passing game coordinator is who I'm friends with. He worked a Bama camp and said he just doesn't look like the same laid back comfortable kid. He can't speak for LSU camps since he doesn't work them anymore but at St. Aug he's comfortable and relaxed. At non-university camps he's the same. But there, he almost looked like he didn't want to be there. Throw in the importance of his dad and voila.
I see this as an important year for the offense and it's impact to recruiting. If Cameron lives up to the hype and is able to generate excitement about our offense there could be some very promising days ahead. There are some highly talented recruits who will be watching closely how this season plays out. A departure from the predictable past might be enough to tip fence riders in LSU's direction. My experience is that highly talented, heavily recruited players don't want to come and just fit into a system, they want to leave a mark. I don't want to get ahead of the 2013 season before it's kicked off, but if everything fits together there are some very bright days ahead for this program. I can't imagine players like Fournette wouldn't want to be part of that ... But I'm a little biased.
