Then throw in Baker Mayfield at OU, at 2 TIME walk-on and now in the Heisman "talk" IN HIS FIRST YEAR to start at OU! Now I'm not saying he wins it but his QB play is a big reason OU is where they are this season. Once again..........look to see WHO the OC is, and where he came from.
It's not as difficult to coach up qbs at the college level - if you have adequate coaches. It is VERY difficult to coach up qbs at the college level when your head coach wants to run a 1972 offense (Miles) your OC is an offensive line coach (Studrawa) and the person you replace him with is an out of a job NFL journeyman hack yes man (Cameron). Kragthorpe became ill- not his fault. The point is failure is not a mystery. It's cultivated.
I posted yesterday about Stud, you might want to look at his past stops as OC before LSU. The OC has always been Les Miles.
Well technically there has been someone else with 'OC' on their office door. When I see Leslie with play sheet in his hands I usually just cringe and look other way.
