Dude, I didn't make this shit up. There was a story in the business section of the Sunday Advocate a couple of weeks ago. An avid golfer from Baton Rouge who has been living in Scottsdale for years and is 6'4" has been working on development of clubs for taller men for years. Spent a lot of his own money. In the story there is a silhouette picture of Rory and Tiger each bent over their drivers. The angle Tiger is bent over is much more pronounced than Rory's. It's very likely that the angle of his very powerful swing had something to do with Tiger's physical problems now. He swung a hell of a lot harder than your average differ. I don't know why clubs for taller than midget men with longer lengths and proper weight and angle balance haven't been around for years.
They have. I'm not sure what you read but almost any golfer that wants to shoot better will have a fitting. They have tape that will show impact angles, ball strike position, all sorts of stuff. If you need a longer club they peel the the grip off and solder on an extension. If you need shorter the can take a little off the bottom and reattach the club head. I would bet you dollars to donuts that there are no 2 on the PGA tour that use the same clubs. To you they may look the same but they are vastly different. Been this way for ages. Go to your local golf course, find the pro and ask him about fittings. Promise you he will confirm it for you.
Well, golf has been around a long time. A 4" over 6 iron would no longer be a 6 iron. Theoretically. He mentions that his intent in all of this was to hit better drives. You do that with a "driver" and those are plenty long enough for just about any golfer. The only ones who add "substantial " length to a driver are those cats that do the contest and smash it 500 yards on ESPN2. It may have a market but I am skeptical. History says what they have done works.
LOL He will have a hard time seeing over the O line butts , But I bet he has fast feet and strong legs , not a thing new .
