LSU offensive line dominated the likes I have not seen in years

    It was impressive.

Made the vaunted D-line of South Carolina look like feeble chumps.

It was refreshing to see the offense moving the ball again with the very first possession, and throughout the game.
Despite some setbacks with 3 and outs, they kept on playing :)

The passing game is still very lacking and that is disappointing on a night in which we pretty much could do what we wanted on the O-line. The play action should have been a killer play but alas we had limited success with it.

I think the passing game is not going to get any better the rest of the year. We are stuck with what we have.

I am cautiously optimistic that the passing game CAN get better later this season, once the offense has improved confidence. Think there is a learning curve for Mett to get used to the real SEC defenses. He had hit highs with all the preseason "accolades" before the start of the season, just to be put down to earth when the real season starts. I believe he will learn and be better.

I have faith that will improve but running for 300 yards didn't help his chances of getting the opportunity from here out. Back to the usual I assume.

I will take that type of offensive output like the team most of last season (with Lee at the helm); run based but with a credible pass attack at the right time when called upon.

We had some wide open deep shots, but Mett was off last night...

I'll take it. It just doesn't win the nc against the gumps again.

Run blocking definitely improved. Pass blocking still needs improvement but they're young and thats to be expected.

I was completely wrong about Mett. Not ready for prime time. Obviously has the tools but needs a lot of work.

Stares down his primary and telegraphs his throws probably the worst I've seen. His long wind up compounds the problem badly. He doesn't go through progressions well at all. And his pocket awareness is really bad especially given his height.

I agree about Mett. The lack of pocket awareness is astounding.
