The pieces are there to put together a special season. We just need JJ and Krags to give us the last piece. :thumb:

It will probably have the same balance it has had over the past few years, with more runs mixed in if we have leads. Execution is what needs to change.

I believe that we will lessen the amount of plays from the shotgun formation and more with the I and Ace formations. I would like to see us pass on first down more often. I see us running the play action more often than in the past as well. I have thought for a while now the RB screen would be a good play to run.
Overall I see us 55% run, 45% pass. I think there will be few long pass plays, I think JJ throws the most accurate in the 20-30 yard range.

Who is going to be a fullback? You have to have a excellent fullback to run the I. We don't have a true fullback on the roster.

I remember James Stampley playing in the FB spot last year and not doing to badly. He is listed at 5-10 230 which is good enough size.

Copeland earned the starting role at FB basically ran away with it the last quarter of the season. He and Stamply will both be used but Copeland is the man at this time.

So if Shep is suspended, Jarvis Landry out for a few weeks, could set him back, does a guy like Odell Beckham have a shot of stepping up, and working his way into the top 4 or 5?

Odell has actually looked like the one who might have been in front of Jarvis anyway. Would have been one of the top battles to watch in fall practices.

I really want to see Jefferson have a special season and prove his doubters wrong too. Here in Texas I have friends who are Longhorn and Aggie fans and even they are pulling for a Cinderella story down in Baton Rouge, hoping Jefferson has the season of his life. I will remain as positive as I can, but it seems as if we have been down this road, Just this time around we have Krag driving and not Crow.

We can place lots of blame on GC for some very predictable and piss poor play calling the past few seasons, however, I saw quite a bit of mistakes made by JJ and JJ alone. Once again, I am not pissing in anybody’s cheerios and I have supported our boy through thick and thin and will continue to do so as long as he is under center, but I swear if 9-3-11 rolls around and its LSU vs. UNC all over again, my heart is going to drop! – I don’t want another painful season of “what ifs” & “should haves”

But if the reports coming from the Manning Camp are true, I’d love to say, we will be ok. I just want to see one thing and one thing only – CONSISTENCY

I’m just a fan, not a coach, not a player, in my opinion, we need a heavy dose of a dirty duo between Ware/Ford and a consistent short passing game with some nice YAC by some of our very talented receivers. Run the clock and sustain the drives, LSU will be a very special unit on the offensive side of the football.
