I'm cool with running it 22 straight times. If that's what the defense is allowing, then go for it. What I don't like is running it over and over when it isn't working (Auburn '06).

I'm not trying to bring a dark cloud (And Kelly will be just fine, but thanks for your concern). I was just asking. When you don't see a good track record over the past couple of years in the passing game, it raised the question. I've said in other posts that I believe JJ will be much improved from last year. We had Crowton as a OC as well, and saw a huge jump in QB productivity once he left.

At almost any Elite program who's replacing a OC, the new OC doesn't get the keys to the car right away. Most OC's in their first year have limited responsibility. Run the offense in practices, help install the game plans week to week, assist the HC in developing the plays they'll use against that weeks opponent, and be the eye in the sky on game day.

I can't see Miles giving Krag freedom to call plays, not for a year or so anyway.

Why, he gave Chief complete control from day one.

kRags has and will do well. Les has a better feel for kRags as the OC. Its not hard to understand. The folks at A&M didn't want to loose him, but did. Mike Sherman could have hired anyone, but went with him. I like his resume and I like what other coaches say about him. I've talked with friends in coaching an all agree, Les has a great one here. A very good offensive mind, someone that can handle the QB's as well as anyone. We don't need a major overhaul, just a fine tuning.

that's what worries me with this guy. had one of the most prolific qbs in place along with the top offensive systems in the country. Let's see what he does with JJ but im not getting too excited just yet.

Because Les isn't a defensive coach, he is an offensive coach. Same reason Mushchamp handed over the offense to Weis. This is going to be Les' offense make no mistake about it. Krag will be running it, but it's Les'.
