Its great seeing things begining to click and the O looking like we were expecting it to. I think a big aspect as to the improvement is the coaches are allowing players to make plays. The play calling has been very good for most of the last two games, keeping the D honest. Mett is showing the potential he was touted to have.

The only real complaint I have is it seems we are a few years too late in trying to get Shepard touches. LSU is loaded at RB, there is no need to keep him in for several carries at a time. Shepard is at his best in space and when he gets a run when its not expected. I also feel like sometimes in the red zone we often get away from the smash mouth football that is LSU. We tend to get too fancy, which is why so many stalls. Overall the O is much, much better and the play calling as well.

Did you miss him dropping all those passes? Hell I thought to myself yesterday that his open-field, touchdown-saving tackle could be THE highlight of his last TWO years here.

So how is it when we have boneheaded play calling it's Miles offense, but now we're rolling and Stud is well... a stud?

I think maybe Krags coaching has more to do with the higher QB play plus Metts skills, that and of course all of a sudden the WRs can catch, which opens up the lanes for the RBs.

Still don't see Stud as the answer at OC... wouldn't mind seeing Malzahn come in and run his offense here.

I think you are looking for something that isn't there TT. Play calling and offensive performance depends on the players' ability to execute. Say if your line can't block that means you can't throw deep. If your QB doesn't feel comfortable you throw safe passes and if your receivers don't seperate or catch the ball you are even more limited. That is exactly where we were at the first of the season.

What I think happened the coaches (all on O) worked with each individual issue and player to correct the issues. You could see things starting to turn around when Trai Turner replaced Williford and the line settled down. In the aTM game we tried more and were just misssing. . We took advantage of the bye week and further honed performance and confidence. This is what burst forth in the Alabama game and this week.

With confidence in all phases of the game the coaches have the ability to use all the tools available. We see a balanced and exciting offense and I believe it will only get better. Props to Less, Stud, Krag, Henry & Emmsminger for having the ability to meld these kids in the middle of a high pressure season as they have.

Let's watch and enjoy the continued development of this O.

They will hate him until he leaves, then they will all want him back. It's that simple. It's like the girlfriend you can't stand until you finally drive her away, then you realize she was your whole world.

The light came on for mett in a way even his coaches likely cannot believe. Pray it doesn't turn off. I thought it may happen for Bama but figured it would be off this week. Nope, looked like favre in his prime.

Wrs better start taping up their fingers.

Oh and miles krags and stud get credit for trusting him and fixing his head. Just don't trust him yet. Qbs are insane.

My biggest gripe with LSU's offense is that they do not use the tight end well. LSU's smash mouth style is tailor-made for a good receiving tight end who can get into space on playaction. Miles, however, has that old BigTen mentality that a tight end is just a 3rd offensive tackle. Perhaps he should look up a level and see what is happening at that position in the NFL.

We've thrown to the TE more lately, and when we've have a truly realiable one, like Dickson, we've used him well. You can't really say it's the result of an old B10 mentality when we're throwing screen passes to the fullback.

My biggest gripe is when we are up by 10+ points, we stop throwing.

Well.. LSU hasn't had a TE go over 200 yards for the season since Dickson left... I'd say Peterson was a damn fine TE, we didn't throw to him.
