Lets see, the offense is only putting up 26 ppg, and the defense is only giving up 12 ppg hmmmmm. We do that all yr with the same results and I'm good.

Yes, we are ranking badly, and rankings don't really mean anything in the long-term. However, to be fair, rankings are important simply because they are good factors in predictions, which seem to be the most important things to a sports fan. Hence, rankings being published and whatnot.

That being said: SCOREBOARD, ...you know what!!!

let's look at the SEC schedules through the first three games with the teams in bold being the toughest opponent for said team:

    Alabama - VT, FIU, NTU
    Arkansas - Missouri State, UGA
Auburn - La Tech, State, WVU
State - JSU, Auburn, Vandy note that these are two SEC opponents.
    Ole Miss - Memphis, SLU
Florida - Charleston Southern, Troy, Tenn.
    UGA - OkSU, USCe, Ark
    UK - Miami (Ohio), Louisvile
    USCe - NCST, UGA, FAU
    Tenn - WKU, UCLA, UF
    Vandy - WCU, LSU, State

overall, LSU's SoS is 15th in the nation. other SEC teams' SoS are as follows:

    BAMA - 31
    Ark - 47
    AU - 33
    State - 29
    Ole Miss - 117
    UF - 62
    UGA - 32
    UK - 111
    USC - 83
    UT - 40
    Vandy - 23

that sure as hell makes me feel a lot better about our 3-0 season thus far. look at how florida struggled against tennessee with meyer blaming the performance on the flu (and kudos to lame kitten for calling him out on it.) Ole Miss has an easy schedule, we already knew that, but look at their performances against Memphis and SLU. they haven't even been slightly tested yet.

i know i was a bit edgy after the first week (hell, fans need to shake off the rust just as much as the players/coaches,) but i am actually pretty optimistic about this season! :geauxtige

I would just like to say that we have scored a lot of TD's plus A LOT of field goals. Either way, I see us scoring about 24 points or more in every game. I think it is now a matter of working on the redzone.

    Still, LSU is doing fine...

I didn't think your post needed clarification...

    But...apparently just in case...here's clarification.
