Didnt know what to call the thread but somewhat interesting developments for the team this year and down the road. Its all from DandyD.

    1. OL Kyle Anderson made an appeal to Miles to rejoin the team as a walk-on. No decison yet but what are his chances of becoming a Tiger again? Of all the dissmisals this off season, it seems to me he was kicked off because of the other team memebers actions and it was simply the wrong time to get in trouble. If he is reinstated, I am sure he wouldnt be given the opportunity to contribute this year. The question is does Miles still get his point across to the team by allowing him to rejoin after a few months?

    2. Former Harvard QB Andrew Hatch is going to walk-on with 3 years of eligibility left. He is 6'4, 200 pounds. Any word on his abilities?

    3. DT Rolando Melancon out of Lutcher who signed with Tenn this year did not make the grades and is going to Community College in San Fran. In two years LSU might be more of an option with the big guns heading to the NFL and he might become homesick and give LSU a shot. I understand his reasons for signing with Tenn because it was just the wrong time to get significant playing time in his career. It is going to be interesting to see where he ends up.

I'm guessing that Miles will let Anderson walk-on, but it depends on what went down behind closed doors. Miles made vague mention of the fact that the players were kicked off the team because of how they handled the situation, which made Miles question their character.

As for Hatch, my guess is that he wants to be a coach and is coming to LSU to learn from our coaching staff - just like the other QB that is walking on (not Welker).

We never offered Melancon, and his grades were a big part of it. He's talented, but considering the depth we've built up on the DLine I don't see us going to JUCO to pick any up unless something happens.

The judge dropped all charges on Kyle. Just an FYI.

I've heard this isn't true, but that they are anticipating the most serious charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor.
