LSU No. 4 USA Today preseason Coaches Poll

Alabama seems to be the 2008 LSU team. Ranked very high, lost alot of pieces from a year earlier, breaking in a new quarterback, who only got to see the inside of Saban's hand and Nick Fairley a few times. They must get the name ranking. How they go from having one of the worst secondaries in the league a year ago, to apparently having one of the best in the SEC this season makes no sense to me.

 

The defense they should be talking about is this returning LSU defense... we return several nasty players from last seasons squad, and we have some young bruisers coming in and making impacts early. I think this will be a top 5 squad in the nation.

 

I agree, how do you have one of the worst secondaries in the league, lose Dareus, Ingram, Jones, McElroy, their TE, and seems like some are ready to just hand them the trophy.
