This is one of those four or five things I mentioned earlier. Already thinking about A&M leads to communication issues when one play just misses his assignment. There's no other way to put it; misses. Whiff's. There are two problems here but both are easily compounded if they are thinking about VT in TV time-outs. Then we see it's 28-10 going into the half and VT can't move the ball? We'll see how it shakes out. I'm not worried but it does have my attention; which, really, isn't anything new.
I don't think A&M will beat Alabama. Saban rarely loses to the same team in consecutive seasons and just as Alabama lost strength on their OL, so did A&M (Luke Joeckel). Looking at Alabama's schedule, the teams to watch in terms of being able to upset Alabama are LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn. Tennessee is not there yet.
They also had 6 starters on defense suspended for that game. I think the Rice game showed they don't have much depth on that side of the ball but A&Ms defense should look a bit better against Bama. At least one would hope so.
upset from the four letter network yes... save for the BCS game, we've outplayed them the last few games... i think it would be an upset if we didn't beat them... of course this depends on the "new" Mett sticking around all year...
The Iron Bowl is ALWAYS a hard fought game. I also think Auburn has more talent than people realize and now that Jizzick is gone they might actually have a coach that can do something with their players.
Maybe, but I'm not a big believer in Malzahn as a HC. He was an okay coordinator until the SEC figured him out.
i believe bama will beat the hell out of a&m. if anyone here doesn't think a team can go far with a great D and a barely adequate O hasn't watched much LSU football the last few years. don't fool yourselves, it will come a little tougher for the red bastids, but it will all come down to november to see who advances to the seccg.
There are some that believe Auburn has no talent so part of what you're saying is technically correct. That stretch they had of three or four years of having great recruiting classes? Around half of those kids aren't at Auburn anymore. All the controversy of Auburn not having a QB? Hrrmmm, all those QB's on campus save what, one? Gus Malzahn's recruits. I always find this statement odd. The SEC has had him figured out as evidenced by the 3-5 record he posted as an offensive coordinator in 2009.
