I agree for the most part.
Except for the sloppy mistakes, the offense played well. J Lee impressed me and I'm more confident in him from here on out. I think he gained some valuable experience and will continue to improve, despite some mistakes. Oline is our greatest asset on this team and they will make the entire offense better.
Defensive play needs improvement. The secondary lacks experience and was exploited several times. The Dline played well but I hope injuries aren't severe. I think a few more blitzes should try to be incorporated.

    Not pretty but a W ain't bad!:geauxtige

Big test for Lee; I expect we'll see Hatch in that game.

This is probably the main thing I took from it.

A very similiar "slippery" QB we played tonight, much in the mold of a Tebow (although obviously not as good). So we got a taste of what it will be like to put a spy on Tebow. We did not do very well in that aspect tonight. Maybe we didn't respect this QB's running ability. Not sure.

A disturbing trend is the amount of pressure we put on the QB without getting the sack. We just can't seem to do it.

Still blowing coverage at times, although it didn't cost us tonight for the most part. Linebacker play in passing downs is questionable. They seem to do well against the run.

I was very pleased with Lee's play tonight. His connection with both Lee and Dickson is a good sign of things to come. Byrd will get his in time. His weakness is telegraphing the play still, especially on short pass plays.

The biggest positive I took from this was the intensity with which we came to play. Compare that to Florida, who seemed to be sleepwalking through their game at times. We brought it tonight, and thank goodness we did because we would have been another casualty on upset Saturday.

All i know is that Lee should never be allowed to throw a flare to the RB ever again.

He just telegraphs the pass from the second the play starts.

They will work hard on this in the next 2 weeks, that's for sure.

It's an important play in our arsenal and is usually quite effective. We can't abandon it we just have to make it much less risky.

Oh I know it just scares the hell out of me when he does it.

Although just thinking about it, it would be a great play, ala the tebow fake draw pass, if he started off like he was gonna throw the flare while Lafell fakes like he's gonna block and then takes off down the field wide open.
