Actually that's how football works...draw up plays based on what you've seen on film of opponents previous games. Get the ball to the playmakers and exploit other teams weaknesses. That's why coaches are paid millions. Do you think the talent level at Pitt was anywhere near Clemson's?
I'll never buy for one second that Kirk is not using his weight to up the ratings of ESPN and particular college football matchups. It's in his best interest to make games more interesting. While he might be a little less of a puppet than others, he has still for several years made erroneous and even egregious predictions and that have often been wrong. I am very thankful he opened his mouth and gave the Tigers a nice bit of motivation.
Mullen is a good coach but Aranda will shut MooU down because he's a good coach with superior talent. Their passing game is limited and a one dimensional team is going to struggle. Canada will also utilize the passing game to keep the run game effective. After we beat MooU everyone predicting an upset will overlook this game. We'll eventually get around to the pachyderms and your little napoleon. That frown after his last NC will seem like a smile compared to the grimace we're going to slap on his face. I'd be very annoyed if we lose, though the Fightin Mullen's aren't so bad.
I appreciate your music contributions here. I recognize a lot of them. I don't listen to music. Just exposed to it often.
Here's where you're missing the programming aspect of ESPN at this juncture. Don't judge the product before you listen to it...it's not the same as what you're seeing on TV. Certainly entertained. Just as one thing to ponder. Who would you consider to be the second best coach in the SEC today? Better yet, best QB coach? That last question has been answered on more than once occasion. All I'm saying here is pause. In two weeks no one knows a lot about what the majority of teams are fielding. Hell, there are a lot of people questioning Ohio State right now.
