So what happens if LSU is 13-5 in the SEC, tied for 1st (hypothetrically) with an overall record of 20-11, is that good enough? I think that's the best we hope we finish based on the remaining schedule.
That would get them in.. Ben Simmons is good for their ratings. If it wasn't for Ben they would probably have to win a couple of SEC tournament games.
So we could go 20-11, 7-6 OOC against inferior opponents and lose the first SEC game and end up 20-12 and we're in because we have Gentle Ben Simmons?
That would pprobably get us in. Last year Ole Miss made it at 20-11 without a marketable superstar but they did get put in the playin game.
Because we play them again, and had they won they would have 4 losses and still in be in the hunt. 2 win lead and having to play them again, along with South Carolina, A&M, Kentucky and Florida isn't so comfortable to just dismiss them. The South Carolina game is huge. Beat a ranked team on the road would definitely help, especially now that they have beaten A&M. Edit. We don't play Vandy again I thought we did but still had they won they would still be a player in the SEC.
