We stand a very good chance at finishing in the top 5 of the BCS if we run the table for the 4time in 5 seasons under Miles.

    Perspective.

    2005 - #5
    2006 - #3
    2007 - #1
    2008 - NR
    2009 - #8 (at this point)

Going back further, had it not been for that horrible Iowa loss in the bowl game, LSU would have been ranked in the top 6 BCS for 5 straight seasons (2003-2007).

    Good times, good times.

Beat Ole Miss and I can personally guarantee we win the next 2 after that.

dude, you are hilarious with your claims and predictions.

good post, though. agree with you that with the number of games left, if we win out, we have a great chance of ending up in the top 5. unbelievable, really, given how ineffective our offense has been. just goes to show you , defense will keep you in the mix - always.

Take last season, for example. With any sort of defense, we'd have likely won the UGA and Arkansas games, and could've pulled out the Bama game, too.

Then, it would've been a great season, pick sixes and all...

I think it all hinges on the Ole Miss game. LSU has to come out with some real fire. We have to execute in all aspects. The talent is there, its to put it all together. If we lose here, I think there is a good chance things will implode and we lose to Arkansas as well.
