Not to take away from all the celebrating about the football team, Brady's boys fall to 7-8 on the season in a 61-39 loss to Mississippi State. This week really is a contradiction in success. LSU wins the MNC title and LSU's once proud basketball program continues to be a joke with Mr. Potatohead at the helm. It's just sad.
Oh well, I'll just have to watch tapes of the game to cheer myself up during bball season.

And so my prediction of us having the worst offense in the SEC due to our lack of movement is coming true.

from what cjb said the O took almost all good shots but missed most of them. the D played well too.

anyone go to the game and can offer a different opinion?

seems to me like this was predictable. team will be streaky on O because they will have to rely on jump shots and will suffer on both O and D some because of no good rebounders.

Tough game to watch last night. I'm the guy that likes to stay until the end of games, regardless of score... and last night I debated leaving with 10 minutes left.

It is time for LSU to cut bait with this guy. Another loss like this get rid of Brady and promote one of the assistance to interm until LSU can get a guy they deserve. Just my opinion.

I guess this means there is no shot of a repeat of what Florida did last year..winning both the football and basketball NC.

It is obvious that Brady has to go. It really sucks because I grew up watching LSU basketball more than LSU football. I would go to just about every home game my dad would take me to. I remember when they would have mike the tiger come down from the ceiling, deaf dome meter and many other things. I remember watching my favorite LSU basketball player Jose Vargas.

I really care about LSU BB and to see JB continue to let the program slide is very hard. I think the only that we keep him from being fired this year will be what ever buy-out clause they might have in his contract.

Absolutely the truth, and that was what I was implying too. Unfortunately, we are not as good at shooting jump shots as we think. ;)

Problem with this is we shoot well some nights, but holding a lead in the 2nd half will be impossible.

Is it okay just to go directly to baseball and bypass basketball altogether ?

That's the cure. A basketball bypass.

    He was mine too!

I hope they get rid of Brady too. I thought the way he lost the team last year should have been enough to get him chit canned. We can do better than him!
