Re: Looks like I hope so. I also wouldn't mind seeing perhaps one more true MLB. With Hollis, Kuale, and Vaughn all gone after this season, our experience (and depth) at the MIKE position takes a hit. Granted, Kuale is playing more on the outside (and Hollis plays primarily on the outside--but both are capable of playing inside if needed). As of now, in terms of next season, we're looking at Luke Sanders and Quinn Johnson as the two lodgical choices for MIKE linebackers. Cutrera, if he continues his solid play, might get some playing time as a true-frosh and perhaps Sheppard as well.... I think we're MORE than solid on the outsides: Highsmith, Harry Coleman, Beckwith, Riley, Gbadu, and possibly Giddens and McCray (depending on where those two end up--either as safeties or OLB.) I think, depending on if we sign another safety or not, will depend on where Giddens and/or McCray end up conditioning themselves to play.
Don't look to good for a true safety...our only chances look to be Mouton and Reshad Jones! Both are slim to none at this point of the season.
BB, I always want a MLB in a class but I never expect a frosh to take over that role as a starter or get much playing time, it's way too difficult for most. I think our history shows we usually move a guy over after seeing playing time on the outside first.
I think I saw Crawford was 2 points shy on his lat test. Hopefully he will get that on the retake. :geauxtige
Not that I could care less, but ESPN has Crawford as the 118th best recruit in the nation: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/espn150
Thanks for the ESPN article, I hadn't seen that one. From most everything I've read, sounds like Crawford will be a pretty good player for us. :geauxtige
