Just happened to see Scout's bio on our latest 5-star signee, CB Patrick Johnson. According to his bio, he scored a perfect 1600 on his SAT. Not too shabby.

LINK - it's in the Biography section towards the bottom right.

Somehow, I feel this was an error.

The new SAT is on a 2400 point scale. Could this be it? 1600 is still a pretty decent score on the new scale.

This kid is special, make no bones about it.

When you're waking up at 6:30 AM every morning to run drills with your dad for 2 1/2 hours, that's something special.

The kid is a polished DB and is ready to make an impact as a true freshman.

He will make the freshman All-American team.

    Smartest Player in School History??

Perhaps...but I'm sure Rudy Niswanger, the nation's Academic Hesiman winner a few seasons ago, he of the 4.0 GPA and current med school student (if memory serves me correctly), might beg to differ. ;)

No offense, but I don't think some followed his recruitment.

Patrick is enrolling next week for the Spring semester.

He said he enrolled so that he could compete for a starting job at CB in his first year.

I had no idea the SAT scoring format changed. In fact, I thought the SAT and ACT both would never change. But what do I know!? I know I'm getting old.

And yes, Patrick Johnson is going to be amazing on the football field. I only recently (about 1-2 weeks ago) started keeping up with his recruitment specifically, but I've been impressed by him so far, and thrilled that Coach Les Miles and his staff landed such a huge prospect. From Florida, no less... which makes it that much sweeter.

Sorry UF, FSU, UM, UCF, FAU, etc, but PJ wants to win championships in Baton Rouge!!
