In my personal opinion… I wish that no one would speculate about where Les Miles is going to go. I wish there were no distracting threads about new coaches or about losing the coach or coaches. I wish that everyone would focus on the task at hand and worry about the Ole Miss Game And then the Arkansas Game And then the SEC Championship game And then once the team has taken care of business, we can focus on the National Championship Game. After all that, if and when it is necessary, worry about what needs to be worried about then if we are going to lose a coach. I hope that we don’t. In the meantime everyone hold on an enjoy the ride. :geauxtige
What if some enjoy speculating that we might have to replace him?? Okay, seriously, "TF members are talking about replacing the coach"? The whole dang college football fan base is talking about it, why can't we, he's our coach? I've found the overwhelming majority to want him to stay and have said so but also are looking ahead to "What if". If you step in a pile of cow manure on the way to the barn........that's okay; however, if you step in it again on the way back.........there's something wrong. We've been left in a predicament before and are only hoping it doesn't happen again. We don't hire but, as fans, share concerns/lack of, and/or who we'd like to see. As far as the season, I'm having an absolute blast. This will be the first season I get to make more than one game- Arky will be my third this year and TEAM KATT.........LAWD- wanna talk about enjoying??
NOBODY...I repeat...NOBODY...is speculating about where Les is going to go. We're speculating about IF he's going to go. And THAT'S why we're speculating at all. You mean to tell me LSU fans should sit idly by and not say a word...express concern...or plan for the possibility...when it's all over every sports media outlet in the country??
Focus on the task at hand? Distracting? I swear the line between LSU player and fan becomes blurry for some of you. You're addressing a bunch of people who watch LSU on TV (or if lucky, the stands), not the Tigers' locker room before a big game. Cute kid.
I hear that said an awful lot but, like I've said before, you think the football players live in a vacuum? And I say this respectfully but they hear the "Mood" of the week so the fans' take/focus can factor in.
What's the point of a fan forum, then? Sounds like the author of the thread wants an internet pep rally. Personally, I think 99% of the folks on the forum LOVE THE DRAMA! Even SabanFan, although he probably won't admit it. Without a little conflict and drama, The Tiger's Den would be boring as hell. As far as impacting the team: You can't put the internet genie back in the bottle. Fans will speak. Players and coaches will read. Be respectful, but censorship is futile.
SabanFan loves it, I have this mental image: I'm not saying anything against "Us speaking" either, just saying don't think it, fans-collectively, doesn't "Get out".
Why are you thinking about SabanFan being naked? Oh, that's right you're the guy listing "hot" coaches.
 As for this thread: Spurrier. Spurrier. Spurrier. We'd be ranked higher than #1 AND have intelligible, funny quotes every week. Can't beat that.
I would take Spurrier in a heartbeat and I think we would get him too. He came back for another national championship, not to be slightly above mediocre.
