Do they allow people to sit in the grassy areas all around the stadium? They may be able to bring in a lot more than 1,250 if that's the case.
Just reading their web site and they state just over 1800 on hand for a west coast regional game in 1986. They have upgraded their facilities to include a net behind home plate! The grassy area is their GA. Edit: Just read where they got 2500 on hand for a dodgers/ domer exhibition game. I have decided to take the kid for the weekend. Who knows, maybe you get a free hot dog if you return a foul ball. :hihi:
even if so, i am still wondering how they got a regional with those facilities. the old turchin stadium seated approx 3,500 back in the late 90's. (before they put in some bleachers.) in 1999 tulane was told they were not eligible to host a regional because turchin was too small. in 2005, oregon state was on a tear and record wise, a shoo in for a regional. however, they were told their facilities were too small. harold reynolds, being an osu alum, donated the money for them to put in enough bleachers to bring their stadium up to size for hosting a regional. i dont know what the size before the donation was. point being, once again, there seems to be a double standard with the ncaa and their "rules". 1,250 is pathetically small.
Oh I believe everything you say. Especially what you tell me about people in PM's. I just wanted to know where the **** was being stirred. :hihi:
If I'm related to Jackie Robinson, i'd be quite upset to have my name associated with a high school field.
