The future at LSU looks bright. You have to remember how young of a team we are.

That really doesn't matter when all your juniors leave after every junior year.

The excuse of youth has been used for several years, after a while it doesn't work. LSU is not any less experienced than Bama. Just they do a much better job of preparing their team, coaching them up from year to year. They have a championship mentality, a swagger that they are better than everyone. Bama knew they were gonna win, LSU knew they were going to lose the game. That is on coaching, or the lack their of in the case of LSU.

LSU needs to abandon the run down your throat mentality, it does not work against Bama.

Here is the deal as far as talent is concerned. Bama does not miss often on the kids they recruit. When someone leaves early the next man up is equal to the one leaving no matter their previous experience. That is an example of coaching up the kid to be ready when called upon. It also goes to show that Bama does not often miss on their prospects.

LSU recruits extremely well, we are not far behind Bama. Everyone complains about the star rating system being slanted towards Bama when it suits LSU, now those same people are saying Bama has by far the better players. LSU has done a shitty job recruiting the DL in recent years. We have not had a star DLman in quite a few years. It is a combination of LSU missing on the players they are bringing in and not coaching them up. Plain and simple this is all on coaching. Mingo, Hunter, Montgomery, Freak, Gilmore, Bain, LMAO, LaCouture, Godchaux, Herron, Bower, etc were all highly rated. Do the math, either they were overrated or not coached up for the moment.

    The same with the OL.

They win the battle at the line of scrimmage. They also have depth something we do not have. Alabama was subbing in personelle all game.

There was an article about the size of the lines for both teams... O lines were comparable in size but the d lines and lbs were definitely leaning way to the bama side on size... Good news is with chief gone, so are the days of turning big d linemen into o lineman, big lbs into d linemen and big safeties into lbs... Not so good news is it'll take a couple of recruiting cycles to stock up... We'll really need incoming freshmen to have major contributions...

And Miles had his thumb up his ass while the chief of chagrin had his thumb up his ass and the defense steadily began to unravel.
