Why don't we put a bubble around them so that NOTHING can make them worse.

    You.miss.the.point.completely.

It is not about which item will sustain more damage faster predicated upon your hypothetical ax. It about LSU deciding something is worth preserving. They have decided it is. You want to be tangential about some stupid trees. Its about preservation of anything, in any form, in any fashion.

You don't like how "overboard" they are, but you have no scientific proof of your assertions that kids are not doing damage to the hills. Just your opinion. I am not even offering my own opinion, I am supporting the opinion of experts over yours. Make some signs and go picket the students enforcing the will of LSU about preserving the mounds. For some reason those stupid scientists think its necessary.

The article says that the mounds are "believed" to be built by the Indians. They are protecting something and they aren't even sure what the hell it is.

But I think you are right we should always agree with scientists. I just choose to believe the ones from 1886 - 2009 who didn't give a **** like me.

The article wasn't written by a scientist. Science knows an awful lot about the mounds and they were not created by aliens.

You're really making a fool of yourself, amigo.

Proof? Data? Or whatever it is that you like to ask for. Could have been aliens. 6000 years ago how would we know? Oh that's right, scientists haven't seen an alien before.

Oh no! Hope these anonymous internet characters don't judge me!

don't mess with scientists dude. according to some on this board, science tells us that kids and cardboard could be more powerful than mother nature. So, the next time there is a hurricane, just have your kids stand by the windows with cardboard and everything should be fine. :D

by the way, that article says alot about weather and time inflicting damage and kids sliding down kind of adds to it, that i can believe.

OK, you two kids can slide down the irreplaceable American relic. Now, go play and let the adults talk . . .

Yes, I understand. Most people fought the revolutionary idea that the world was round too. Stick to your guns scooter.
