LSU in the 2000s -- on track to beat Spurrier in the 90's or Bear Bryant in the 70s?

Every team could stockpile, and did. The top teams that could recruit well recruited extra guys so other teams couldn't get them. Every SEC team with football money did it, as did 3/4 of every conference's top teams.

The scholarship limit didn't make these teams worse, it made smaller schools at the time better.

Under Miles the last 3 seasons we've won 34 of 40 games which is 85%. Seems pretty damn accomplishable if you ask me.

Hell of a point. What LSU has done over the last three seasons is insane.

But doing it for a decade is something else in the modern SEC.

The limit is absolutely the reason we have a Division I-AA or whatever the hell they call it now. Those schools couldn't get the players to compete before, now they just can't get the fans to compete. It would be back to Division II for Tech, Monroe, and the University of Lafayette Louisiana if LSU could still sign 50 or 60 a year.

    I hate you guys.

LSU's two best seasons in the 2000's:
    13-1
    12-2
    = 2 BCS Championships

Auburn's two best seasons in the 2000's:
    13-0
    11-2
    = 0 BCS Championships

    We have rotten luck. :(

Aka Karma - tell Tubby to stop chop blocking players
    I kid, I kid
Luck really does play a huge part in a championship though.
